film inventory sheet for x-mas scene - baltimore, md.
here's a sample film inventory sheet for Day 1 of our shoot in Baltimore on 11 january 1997 (which was the x-mas scene with young kalin - we shot it in my grandmother's basement) i really can't explain everthing on this because i could never be an assistant camera. that's what i had david levin for. i think it's that detail stuff - must be a male domain. i can see that we shot 7250, which is a reversal film with 400 asa (it makes for a grainy, yellowy, icky look) we also shot some super 8, but somehow it never came out. he's also got 7248 film down there which is 100 asa tungsten film - this is what we used for all the scenes in the green room with kalin a couple days later, it's hard to light, but it's beautiful film and wendy (my cinematographer) did a nice job giving it a little bit of a warm touch with some gold cards. looks like we shot 780' of 16mm and 50' of super 8. 400' is 12 minutes of film. you can figure out the math, because that's also why i can't be an accountant.
